Famous American actor, former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said that at the end of 2022, several representatives of political parties came to him asking if he was going to run for office.
The actor said on the "What Now?" podcast:
At the end of the year in 2022, I got a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run, and if I could run. It was a big deal, and it came out of the blue. They also brought up their own deep-dive research that would prove that should I ever go down that road [I’d be a real contender].
Johnson performed in the WWE for eight years before beginning his acting career. Johnson left the organization in 2004, returned there in 2011 and performed until 2013, then he made guest appearances in the company before ending his career in 2019.
He is a 10-time World Champion, as well as a two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion, a five-time Tag Team champion, the winner of the 2000 Battle Royal and the sixth Triple Crown Champion.
