Former UFC dual champion Amanda Nunes of Brazil responded to a question about a possible restart of her fighter's career.
Amanda Nunes
I cannot kick as much anymore. My legs have nerve damage from over the years. So things are starting to get harder for me. My shoulders need rest, my knees. Even my teeth need work after getting hit in the mouth so many times. I need to take care of my body and give it a break. We’ll see what happens in the future.
Recall, the last fight of Nunes took place on June 1 at the tournament UFC 289. There Amanda defeated Irene Aldana by unanimous decision of judges, after which she announced the end of her career.
Nunes, 34, had her previous fight in July 2022 at UFC 277, defeating Julianna Peña by unanimous decision. She has 23 wins and five losses under her belt.
