Former UFC fighter Frank Shamrock announced on his social media accounts that he will donate his brain for chronic traumatic encephalopathy research.

As an athlete and lifelong brain health advocate, I am pleased to announce that I will be donating my brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation (CLF). I have personally experienced the effects of concussions, and I know how important it is to take proactive steps to protect your brain.
Shamrock, 50, had the last fight of his career in April 2009 in Strikeforce. Nick Diaz was his opponent then. That fight ended with Diaz's TKO in the second round. In total, Frank has 23 wins, 10 losses and two draws.
