British mixed martial artist Muhammad Mokaev, currently competing in Brave CF, has spoken out about the ongoing talks regarding a potential return to the UFC.

Honestly, I don’t even understand it. PFL offered me a very lucrative contract – I turned it down. The UFC is aware that I declined the PFL offer. I thought we would have a call with the UFC next week, and it would be clearer whether I’m coming back or not. It’s an uneasy situation right now – they haven’t outright declined, but it seems I need to wait a bit. But what am I waiting for, exactly? I need to move forward. I’m young and want to be the world’s best flyweight.
Mokaev last stepped into the cage in December 2024 at Brave CF 91, where he secured a victory over Joevincent So via submission in the first round.
His most recent fight under the UFC banner was in July 2024, where he defeated Manel Kape by unanimous decision. Following the tournament, UFC president Dana White announced that Mokaev is a free agent since the promotion did not extend his contract. Mokaev holds a record of 14 wins and no losses in mixed martial arts, with one fight being declared a no contest.
