Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter Gleison Tibau spoke about his desire to get a Russian passport in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net.
I want to get a Russian passport. I think it would be nice. It would be more convenient to fly from Russia to Brazil and back. I like Russia. I have a lot of friends here, I like their way of life. Lots of nice people, good food.
"I've been to Russia three times ,” Tibau said. “The first time I had a big fight at the RCC tournament in Ekaterinburg, a welcoming city. Then I was in Ekaterinburg again, I was there in winter and summer, I like it very much. My next fight will be in Tyumen. I enjoy being here at this time of the year. I can go outside more often."
Recall that Tibau has 37 wins and 18 losses in mixed martial arts. The 40-year-old athlete had 28 fights in the UFC. He became famous in Russia after the fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, held in July 2012, where the Brazilian resisted every attempt of Khabib to take the fight to the ground.
