Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley said he intends to resume his professional fighting career in mixed martial arts.
MMA.Fighting quotes Woodley as saying:
A lot of fans want to watch me fight MMA again, and just to be honest, when I was fighting my last couple MMA fights it was just kind of like a simulation. The whole Apex arena deal is kinda whack. I don’t like it, being in a weird awkward room and the cage is super small. I do think the fans deserve to see me put a proper close to an MMA career.
In December 2021, Woodley met famous blogger Jake Paul in the ring in a rematch fight. In this confrontation, Jake won by knockout in the sixth round. In mixed martial arts, Tyrone had 19 wins and suffered seven defeats. Another fight ended in a draw.
