Former two-weight UFC champion, Irish fighter Conor McGregor, is facing allegations of rape involving a 49-year-old woman during the NBA Finals in Miami in the summer of 2023.
The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, claims that McGregor forced her into a sexual act in a men's restroom during the game between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets. The woman reported the incident to the police back in June 2023, but in October, the Florida state prosecutor declined to press charges against McGregor, who has consistently denied the allegations.
The woman is seeking damages of $75,000.
Previously, a Dublin court found McGregor liable in a civil suit related to accusations of raping a woman in December 2018. As compensation, the Irish fighter is required to pay €250,000. Additionally, Conor has been ordered to pay another $1.5 million. The fighter denies any wrongdoing and asserts that the encounter was consensual.
