Former UFC women's strawweight champion Carla Esparza published a new post on her social media account announcing her pregnancy.

We've been keeping it a secret for 14 weeks. We are expecting a little cookie monster in September 2023! Looking forward to the new chapter of my life... and hope to be back in early to mid 2024.
Recall, Esparza lost to Weili Zhang by submission (rear-naked choke) in the second round at UFC 281.
The 35-year-old Esparza had her last fight this past May at UFC 274, defeating Rose Namajunas by split decision. She has 22 wins and seven losses under her belt.
