Andrey Koreshkov, the former Bellator welterweight champion, shared his insights in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net regarding the upcoming fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker at UFC 308.
Andrey Koreshkov exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
The possibility of Whittaker winning is high. Robert has significantly more experience in five-round fights. This is his natural weight class. Chimaev fights at both 77 kg and 84 kg. All of his loud victories have come against fighters in the welterweight division. He hasn't faced top-level opponents in the middleweight yet. Whittaker will be the toughest competitor he has fought, so he has a good chance of winning.
The fight between Chimaev and Whittaker is scheduled to take place at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi on October 26. They were initially set to compete in Saudi Arabia on June 22.
Chimaev has won all 13 of his professional fights. In contrast, Whittaker has achieved victory 26 times and suffered seven losses.
