UFC lightweight No. 8 Rafael Fiziev again commented on his loss to the division's second-ranked American Justin Gaethje at UFC 286.
Fiziev said in a video published on The AllStar's YouTube channel:
He ran away from me for two rounds! He started to (beat) me only after eye poke, because my eye (couldn't) see anything. There was a big white circle on my right eye all fight. I didn't see anything with my right eye. He fought only good after the eye poke and round three when I started to tire.
Fiziev last fought on September 24 at UFC Vegas 79 in Las Vegas (USA). His opponent then was Mateusz Gamrot. In this confrontation, Mateusz won by technical knockout after Rafael was unable to continue the fight due to injury. Fiziev has 12 wins and three losses on his record. Gamrot has 23 wins and two losses.
Gaethje last fought in July 2023 at UFC 291, defeating Dustin Poirier by knockout in the second round. He has 25 wins and four losses on his record.
