Ferguson Responds to UFC Chief's Call to End Career After Chiesa Fight

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson reacted to the words of the promotion's executive director Dana White, who earlier expressed his hope that the American fighter will end his career regardless of the result of his fight with Michael Chiesa, which will take place on August 3 at UFC on ABC 7.

Tony Ferguson
Well we want Dana to do a lot of s**t last for him too. So we can't discredit that one either. I don't feel like this is gonna be my last fight.

Ferguson last fought in December 2023 at UFC 296, losing to Paddy Pimblett by unanimous decision on judges' scorecards. He has 25 wins and 10 losses on his record.

Chiesa last stepped into the octagon against Kevin Holland in July 2023 at UFC 291. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in a choke submission loss for Michael. He has 16 wins and seven losses to his name.
