Askar has taken a break. There are talks about his possible retirement. He is struggling to meet the 57 kg weight limit. He is facing issues during the weight cut. We offered him a fight at 61 kg, but that still requires cutting weight, and it's a problem. There is no final decision yet, but retirement is not out of the question.
Askarov's last fight took place against Brazilian fighter Alan Gomes on November 24 in St. Petersburg at the ACA 166 tournament. The match lasted the full three rounds, ending in Askarov's favor by unanimous decision. His professional record stands at 15 wins, one loss, and one draw.
