American UFC fighter Josh Emmett has stated his desire to have a bout with the promotion's former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Emmett told YouTube channel MMAFightingonSBN:
Max Holloway is the No. 1 contender. He’s cleared out pretty much everyone in the division and fought everyone but myself. It would be an honor to fight him, and that’s a sure shot to the title.
Holloway last fought against "The Korean Zombie" this past August at UFC Fight Night 225. In that confrontation, Max won by knockout in the third round. He has 25 wins and seven losses on his record.
Emmett last entered the octagon against Bryce Mitchell in December of this year at UFC 296. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in Josh's favor by knockout. He has 18 wins and four losses on his record.
