UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards commented on his win over Nigerian Kamaru Usman at UFC 286, held on March 19 in London.

Leon Edwards after his fight with Usman
He wasn't getting any take-downs, I was defending myself, hitting harder punches. I kicked his legs off. But I give Kamaru credit, he gave me the hardest fight of my career. I want to thank him for being such an awesome opponent.
Edwards fought in August 2022 against the same Usman at UFC 278. In that fight, Leon won by knockout in the fifth round.
Edwards faced Nate Diaz at UFC 263 in June 2021. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended in Leon's favor by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 21 wins and three losses under his belt. Usman has 20 wins and three losses on his record.
