Dvalishvili Denies Alcohol Use at Mexican Bar Before O'Malley Fight

UFC bantamweight number one contender Merab Dvalishvili has stated that he did not consume alcohol at a Mexican bar a few weeks prior to his fight with division champion Sean O'Malley.

Dvalishvili wrote in Georgian on social media:

Friends, there is only water in the bottle and cup. I don’t drink at all, especially before a fight.

The bout between Dvalishvili and O'Malley is scheduled for September 15 in Las Vegas, USA, at UFC 306, which will coincide with Mexico's Independence Day.

Dvalishvili last competed in the octagon in February 2024 at UFC 298, winning a unanimous decision over Henry Cejudo. He has a record of 17 wins and four losses.

O'Malley's most recent fight took place in March 2024 at UFC 299, where he won a unanimous decision against Marlon Vera. His record stands at 18 wins and one loss.
