UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis of South Africa took to social media to comment on his upcoming opponent, former division champion Israel Adesanya from Nigeria.
Recently, Adesanya was seen in tears during a press conference after Du Plessis once again proclaimed himself the first true champion from Africa, bringing up Adesanya's background as he resides in New Zealand.
Come on guys, stop crying at the press conferences; it's not that serious.
It's important to note that du Plessis and Adesanya are set to face off on August 18 at UFC 305.
Du Plessis fought most recently in January 2024 at UFC 297, where he secured a split decision victory over Sean Strickland. His record stands at 21 wins and 2 losses.
