Former UFC heavyweight champions Fabricio Werdum and Junior dos Santos will hold a rematch on August 4 in the Gamebred FC bare knuckle MMA league owned by Jorge Masvidal. It was announced by Santos' trainer Conan Silveira in an interview with YouTube channel Portal do Vale Tudo.
As you may recall, dos Santos and Werdum had their first fight in October of 2008, at UFC 90. Junior won that fight by TKO in the first round.
Werdum's last fight was against Renan Ferreira in May, 2021, at the PFL 3 tournament. That fight, in which Fabricio was initially awarded a knockout loss, was later ruled a non-contest. He has 24 wins, nine losses and one draw under his belt.
Dos Santos last faced Yorgan De Castro in May 2022, at Eagle FC 47. In that match, Junior was defeated by TKO in the third round. He has 21 wins and 10 losses on his record.
