Former UFC lightweight champion Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos has spoken out about the possible end of his professional career.

I plan to fight seven more fights under my current contract with the UFC. After that I will open my own gym and train there. Mixed martial arts has changed my life, and I want to help other people now.
Dos Anjos last fight was against Bryan Barberena in December 2022 at UFC on ESPN 42. Rafael won that fight by second-round submission.
Dos Anjos was out in July 2022 as part of the UFC on ESPN 39 tournament against Rafael Fiziev. That fight, which was stopped in the fifth round, ended in a knockout loss to the Brazilian. He has 32 wins and 14 losses on his record.
