Georgian UFC fighter Roman Dolidze commented on his victory over Jack Hermansson at UFC on ESPN 42 in an exclusive interview with Telecom Asia Sport.
Roman Dolidze exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
I don't think the first round was particularly tough. I agree that Jack probably won on points, but he was running around me and not doing much damage, just scoring points for the judges' decision. As soon as it came to a serious confrontation, ground work, and when he got closer, things started to change. In the second round I already realized that my cardio will be alright, because cutting the weight was a little hard and I had to wait the first round out a little, to try it out and see how I would feel. In the second round, I already began to work much more actively, and this is what prompted him to put me on the ground again.
We should remind that the fight ended with Dolidze's victory by a technical knockout in the second round. This success allowed the Georgian fighter to go up to the eighth line in the middleweights rating of the organization.
