American mixed martial arts veteran Din Thomas has shared his thoughts on former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Din Thomas, quoted by MMA Junkie
I don’t want to be disrespectful toward Leon. He’s a great fighter. He’s still top-five material. But I just don’t think that Leon in his heart is a real true fighter. And I say in terms of, like, Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier, like these guys will fight you in a parking lot. I think he’s an athlete.
Edwards last fought against Sean Brady on March 22 at UFC Fight Night 255. In that match, which was stopped in the fourth round, Leon suffered a submission loss. His record stands at 22 wins and five losses, with one fight declared a no contest.
