Derrick Lewis, the 11th-ranked heavyweight in the UFC, has officially pulled out of UFC Fight Night 246, which is scheduled for the night of November 3 in Canada.
Lewis had to withdraw from his scheduled fight against Brazilian Jhonata Diniz for medical reasons. The specific details of his health issues have not been disclosed, but UFC representatives stated that it is not related to the fighter's weight cut.
Lewis last fought in May 2024 at UFC on ESPN 56, where he defeated Rodrigo Nascimento by technical knockout in the third round. His professional record includes 28 wins, 12 losses, and one fight ruled as a no contest.
