American UFC heavyweight fighter Derrick Lewis shared his emotions after defeating Brazilian Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 291.
On the night of July 30, Lewis won by technical knockout at 33 seconds of the first round.

I just said I’m going to throw some bulls*** and see if it lands. I’ve been wanting to hit motherf***** for two years now. I finally hit somebody. I’m happier than a motherf*****. Hopefully I can get a contract with the UFC, if not, s**t, it is what it is.
Lewis, 38, previously stepped into the octagon in February 2023, losing to Sergey Spivak by first-round choke at UFC Fight Night 218. He has 27 wins and 11 losses under his belt.
De Lima, 38, last fought in April 2023 at UFC on ESPN 45, defeating Waldo Cortes-Acosta by unanimous decision. He has 21 wins, nine losses and one draw on his record.
