Former ONE Championship double champion Reinier de Ridder has issued a warning to fighters after his victory over Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Fight Night 247, advising them against signing a contract with the Asian league.

This is something I feel I have to do for other fighters: If you think of signing with ONE Championship – don’t. It’s that simple. You should not. There is nothing there. There is no fights. You’re just wrong if you do it. If you sign there, it is a bad mistake.
De Ridder last fought in July 2024 at UAE Warriors 51, where he secured a technical knockout victory over Magomedmurad Khasaev in the first round. His professional record stands at 18 wins and two losses.
Meerschaert last entered the octagon in August 2024 at UFC on ESPN 62, where he won against Edmen Shahbazyan via submission in the second round. He has a record of 37 wins and 18 losses.
