A bout between UFC lightweight division No. 4 ranked Beneil Dariush and No. 8 ranked Arman Tsarukyan may take place on December 17 at UFC 296.
In an interview with Luke Thomas, Dariush said he has agreed to fight Tsarukyan, but they have not signed a contract yet.
In his last fight, which took place in June 2023 at UFC 289, Dariush lost to Charles Oliveira by technical knockout in the first round. He has 22 wins, five losses and one draw on his record.
Tsarukyan last fought in June 2023 at UFC on ESPN 47, defeating Joaquim Silva by technical knockout in the third round. He has 20 wins and three losses on his record.
