American UFC fighter Beneil Dariush explained why he's angry with his upcoming opponent, Brazilian Charles Oliveira, who will meet in the Octagon on May 6 at the UFC 288 tournament.
Beneil Dariush for The Schmo
Man, I’m not gonna lie, little pissed at Charles. We should have done this fight in early March. I should be chilling right now, spending time with my baby. But, I have to do my practice, I have to do my recovery stuff, I have to eat right, lose weight, and still spend time with my baby. Not gonna lie, pretty pissed.
Oliveira had his last fight against Russian Islam Makhachev in October 2022 at UFC 280. In that fight, Charles was defeated by a choking submission in the second round. On his record he has 33 wins and nine losses.
The last time Dariush came to the octagon was last October at UFC 280 against Poland's Mateusz Gamrot. That fight lasted the whole distance and ended in favor of Beneil by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 22 wins, four losses and one draw.
