American UFC fighter Beneil Dariush stated his desire to fight former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira of Brazil or Rafael Fiziev, the league's seventh ranked fighter.
"Fiziev is a good fighter. I like this confrontation. We'll see, I don't mind that possibility. But ideally a fight with Charles would be better," Fight Wave quotes Dariush as saying.
Dariush had his last fight against the Polish Mateusz Gamrot in October of this year at the UFC 280 tournament. Beneil won that fight by unanimous decision of the judges.
In May, 2021, Dariush competed at UFC 262 against his countryman Tony Ferguson. That fight ended in favor of Beneil by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 22 wins, four losses and one draw under his belt in mixed martial arts.
