UFC President Dana White has once again commented on the potential return of former double champion Conor McGregor to the octagon.
White said, as reported by Championship Rounds:
There is no fight made or a date set or any of that, but I believe. If you watch what I was saying in 2024, I was saying, 'I don't think he's going to fight in 2024'. And I do believe he will fight in 2025.
Earlier, McGregor announced that he will face Dan Hooker at a UFC event taking place on February 1, 2025.
McGregor last fought in the octagon in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he lost to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout due to a broken leg. His professional record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
