UFC president Dana White has commented on the possibility of Cameroonian mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou's return to the American promotion.
In January, former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou didn't renew his contract with the league and left it as a free agent.
Dana White for BT Sport
No, no. We've been negotiating with Ngannou for years. That's the end of it! He'll never fight in the UFC again. Yeah, I never say never, but this time I will. We tried.
Ngannou had his last fight against Frenchman Ciryl Gane this past January at UFC 270. In that fight, which lasted the entire distance, Francis won by unanimous decision of the judges.
Ngannou appeared in the Octagon against Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 in March 2021. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in Francis' favor by knockout. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
