UFC president Dana White presented American bantamweight champion Aljamein Sterling with a Lamborghini Huracan. According to Sterling, that's how the promoter decided to make amends with him.
The matter is that White recently announced that Sterling will fight Sean O'Malley in August at UFC 292. Aljamain didn't like that plan, as he needed more time to recover. White responded by saying that he would then find another man to fight Sean, pointing out that Sterling originally said he was ready to fight. The champion responded by accusing the functionary of undermining his reputation.
Sterling last fought against Henry Cejudo this past May at UFC 288. Aljamain won that fight by split decision.
Sterling fought against T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 280 in October 2022. That fight ended in favor of Aljamain by TKO in the second round. He has 23 wins and three losses under his belt.
