UFC head Dana White has spoken out about a possible fight between the promotion's interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and light heavyweight division champion Alex Pereira.
White told TNT Sports:
He [Aspinall] is ready to fight anybody right now. He doesn't care. He'll fight anybody. So, we'll get him figured out too. I'm not into that stuff [Aspinall vs Pereira]. He just got there, you know? Defend the belt, do some stuff.
Pereira last fought against Jiri Prochazka in November 2023 at UFC 295. In that fight, Alex won by technical knockout in the second round and won the vacant light heavyweight championship belt. He has nine wins and two losses on his record.
Aspinall last entered the octagon against Sergei Pavlovich at the same tournament UFC 295. Tom won that fight by knockout in the first round and won the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
