No.13 of the UFC featherweight ranking, American fighter Dan Ige spoke about the fight with his compatriot Andre Fili.
Ige knocked out Fili in the 22nd second of the first round at UFC Fight Night 236 on February 11 in Las Vegas, USA.
Dan Ige's octagon interview
I just wanna thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I wanna give thanks to my wife. She's probably in labor right now as we speak, so I had to make that one quick. When Andre and I spar, when we train, he messes me up, so I knew I couldn't go out in there and play pitter for patter. So I had to go out there and just let him know this is different.
Ige, 32, last fought at UFC Fight Night 228 in September 2023, losing to Bryce Mitchell by unanimous decision. He has 18 wins and seven losses on his record.
Fili, 33, previously stepped into the octagon in December 2023 at UFC 296, defeating Lucas Almeida by first-round technical knockout. He has 23 wins and 11 losses on his record.
