MMA fighter Cris Cyborg, the reigning PFL champion from Brazil, told MMA Junkie she wants to be both an MMA and boxing champion.
Cris Cyborg
I’m excited because between I can do some boxing fights. I’m looking forward to it. … The people from WBC have been talking to my team for a fight for the world title vs. Cecilia Braekhus. One of my goals before I retire, I’d like to continue to be champion in MMA and I believe be the first athlete in the world to be a current champion in MMA and boxing. This is my goal.
Cyborg's last fight was against Larissa Pacheco in October 2024 at the PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants event. Cris won that match by unanimous decision. In her mixed martial arts career, she has amassed 28 victories and two losses, with one fight deemed a no contest.
