Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington said that he broke his leg in the first 30 seconds of his fight with Leon Edwards and will prove it soon.
Recall, Covington lost to Edwards by unanimous decision of judges in the main event of UFC 296 in Las Vegas (USA).

Edwards, 32, had his previous fight in March 2023 at UFC 286, defeating Kamaru Usman by majority decision. He has 22 wins and three losses on his record.
Covington, 35, previously stepped into the octagon in March 2022 at UFC 272, defeating Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision. He has 17 wins and four losses on his record.
