Former UFC welterweight title challenger Colby Covington said on his social media accounts that undefeated fighter Khamzat Chimaev is afraid to take a fight with him.
One of Colby's fans posted on his page that all MMA fans want to see him fight Chimaev.
I'm trying to give the fans what they want, but he's scared.
Chimaev last stepped into the Octagon at UFC 279, which took place this past September in Las Vegas. At that event, Khamzat defeated Kevin Holland via first-round submission (D'Arce choke). In April, 2022, at UFC 273, "Borz" defeated Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision. He has a record of 12 wins and no losses.
Covington last appeared in the Octagon against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 in March of this year. The fight ended in favor of the American by unanimous decision. He had 17 wins and three losses on his record.
