UFC Hall of Famers Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen, who are serving as coaches for the 33rd season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, believe that their assistants Michael Chiesa and Colby Covington could fight in the show's finale.
I have Michael Chiesa on my coaching staff, and Chael has Colby Covington on his coaching staff; why don't they just fight, and we coach them? That's about as close as we would both get to going back into the octagon. Why don't those dudes just fight each other?
Recall that opposing coaches in The Ultimate Fighter compete against each other at the end of their season. The premiere of TUF 33 is scheduled for May 27.
Covington last fought in December 2024 at UFC on ESPN 63, where he lost to Joaquin Buckley by technical knockout in the third round. He currently holds a record of 17 wins and five losses.
Chiesa last stepped into the octagon in December 2024 at UFC 310, where he won against Max Griffin by submission in the third round. His record stands at 18 wins and seven losses.
