Former UFC two-weight champion American Daniel Cormier named the desired opponents for Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev.

In 2023, I want to see Chimaev face the top-3 welterweight division of the UFC. I want to see him fight Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman or Colby Covington. Those guys have separated themselves from the division in a way, because they've been at the top for a very long time.
The 28-year-old Chimaev had six fights under the UFC banner and won all of them. In his last fight, which took place in September 2022 at UFC 279, Khamzat faced Kevin Holland. That fight ended with Chimaev winning by choking submission in the first round. He has 12 wins and no losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
