Former UFC champion in two weight classes Daniel Cormier has reacted to news that heavyweight champion Jon Jones has requested six months to prepare for a fight against Tom Aspinall.
Earlier reports indicated that UFC president Dana White plans to hold a unification bout between Jones and Aspinall in June during International Fight Week.

He’s not afraid of Tom Aspinall. He’ll fight Tom Aspinall. I think he’s messing around with people, man. I think it’s fun for this dude. This dude made a lot of money and he’s been the champion for so long that he really doesn’t need to fight anybody anymore.
Jon Jones last entered the octagon in November 2024 at UFC 309, where he defeated Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. His record stands at 28 wins and one loss, with one fight declared a no contest.
Tom Aspinall fought last in July 2024 at UFC 304, knocking out Curtis Blaydes in the first round. His record has 15 wins and three losses.
