Former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier commented on Stipe Miocic's prospects in a potential fight with Jon Jones.

I think Stipe's experience in championship fights will get the job done - as will his skills. His experience fighting in the American college league will help him in the fight. Stipe can box, he can fight and he has experience.
It was previously reported that Jones and Miocic could fight in July.
On March 5, Jones defeated Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight belt at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, USA. Jones has a record of 27 wins and one loss.
Miocic last fought Francis Ngannou at UFC 260 in March 2021. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in a knockout loss to Stipe.
