Rasul Magomedaliev, head coach of the Universal Fighters gym, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net shared his thoughts regarding the upcoming UFC middleweight bout between Roman Kopylov and Paulo Costa.
Rasul Magomedaliev exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
As for the fight between Kopylov and Costa – there is no exact date yet, so far it's only being discussed. Roman has good chances – he is faster, younger, and more powerful. Kopylov is better than Costa in every respect. I imagine it will be a stand-up fight. Roman could win by knockout. Either they will keep fighting until the end, or Roman will finish the Brazilian in the third round. As for the preparation – once we have a date, we'll decide when it's best to train, and choose the best partners. So for now, we're just waiting for the official date.
Roman Kopylov and Paulo Costa are expected to fight at UFC 317, which will take place on June 29 in Las Vegas, USA. The Russian fighter has an impressive record of 14 wins and 3 losses, while Costa has competed in 18 professional MMA bouts, achieving 14 victories and 4 defeats.
