Famous UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev signed a new agreement with the American promotion. This was reported by ESPN GB with reference to the manager of the athlete Majdi Shammas.
The details of the deal are not disclosed, but the contract is reported to be long-term. Chimaev had two fights left in the organization under the previous contract.
Chimaev will step into the octagon against former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman on October 21 in the co-main event of UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.
Chimaev last fought against Kevin Holland in September 2022 at UFC 279. In that confrontation, Khamzat won by first-round choking submission. He has 12 wins and no losses on his record.
