Famous UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev shared his thoughts on his shape ahead of his fight against former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, scheduled for October 26 at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Khamzat Chimaev, as reported by Telecom Asia Sport
I feel great. I've never been in training camps like this before. I’ve never had coaches or this level of professionalism around me. I’m just a street guy, I grew up on the streets, so all my fights felt like street fights, but now I’m approaching it a bit more professionally. I really enjoy it, I feel amazing. I think I should be the best Khamzat that has ever stepped into the cage.
Whittaker last fought against Ikram Aliskerov in June this year at UFC on ABC 6. In that match, which was halted in the first round, Robert secured a victory by knockout. His professional record stands at 26 wins and seven losses.
Chimaev's most recent fight was against Kamaru Usman in October 2023 at UFC 294. This match went the full distance and concluded in favor of Chimaev via a majority decision. He boasts a record of 13 wins and no losses.
