UFC middleweight fighter Khamzat Chimaev has stated that his next opponent will be the winner of the title fight between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis.

He (Strickland) has a good fighter who he’s fighting with, Du Plessis, and if he wins against this guy, for sure we’re going to fight 100 percent. They promised for me that fight, so now we’re going to wait who’s winning the fight and then take the belt.
Recall, the fight between Strickland and Du Plessis will headline UFC 297, which will take place on January 21 in Toronto, Canada.
Chimaev, 29, last stepped into the octagon in October 2023 at UFC 294, defeating Kamaru Usman by majority judges' decision. He has 13 wins and no losses on his record.
