I'm a big fan of Volkanovski, he's very good. Yes, I think he's smaller than Islam, but Alex will perform better than we expect. Volkanovski's punching technique is stronger than Makhachev's. In speed and power too. If Islam doesn't put Alex down in the first minute of every round, Volkanovski may snatch victory by decision.
The fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski will take place on February 11, 2023 in Australia at the UFC 284 tournament.
Volkanovski had his last fight at UFC 276, which took place in July 2022, defeating Max Holloway by unanimous decision. Last April, at UFC 273, Alex won by TKO in the fourth round over Chan Sung Jung. Volkanovski, 34, has 25 wins and one loss under his belt.
