Former UFC lightweight title contender Michael Chandler has announced his intentions to compete against top stars in the world’s premier fighting league in 2025.
Chandler stated in an interview with SHAK MMA:
We could see Chandler vs. Oliveira, Chandler vs. Conor, Chandler vs. Islam, Chandler vs. Max – the craziest four- or five-fight run in a 12-month period that anyone’s ever seen. We’re talking year and a half off, ‘Oh my God Chandler’s inactive’ to ‘Holy cow, the craziest run anybody’s ever seen in UFC history, and he’s the oldest lightweight UFC champion.'
Recall that Chandler is set to fight Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 on November 17.
It’s worth noting that their first fight took place in May 2021 during UFC 262, where Oliveira secured victory by technical knockout in the second round. Chandler has a record of 23 wins and eight losses, while Oliveira holds 34 wins and ten losses, with one of his fights ruled a no contest.
