American UFC fighter Michael Chandler has spoken out about his upcoming fight against former double champion, Irishman Conor McGregor.
Chandler said on the MMA Hour show:
At this point, by deductive reasoning, by process of elimination, there’s a main event in December, there’s a main event in November, we’re not going to not be a main event, so that pushes it into 2024. I’m ready to fight in January, February, March, April, May, whatever. Obviously, it makes a lot of sense that there’s a very historic card coming up with the UFC. I haven’t been told that’s when it’s going to be, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s when it is.
Chandler last fought against Dustin Poirier in November 2022 at UFC 281. In that confrontation, Michael was defeated by a choking submission in the third round. He has 23 wins and eight losses on his record.
McGregor last went into the octagon against Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. Conor lost this fight by technical knockout after breaking his leg. He has 22 wins and six defeats on his record.
