Former UFC lightweight title contender Michael Chandler has named his favorite for the upcoming fight between Joaquin Buckley and Colby Covington. The bout is set for December 15 at UFC on ESPN 63.

You sit out for all those years, lose a title fight and all of a sudden you come back kind of on short notice against Joaquin Buckley. Colby's not the smartest guy, he's not the brightest bulb and we'll see it on Saturday night. I think Joaquin Buckley goes out there and I think he finishes Colby, I do. I think Colby doesn't have it anymore.
Joaquin Buckley last fought in October 2024 at UFC 307, where he knocked out Stephen Thompson in the third round. His record includes 20 wins and six losses.
Colby Covington's last fight took place against Leon Edwards in December 2023 at UFC 296. In that bout, which went the distance, Colby lost by unanimous decision. He holds a record of 17 wins and four losses.
