Former UFC lightweight title contender Michael Chandler explained why he and his wife decided to adopt two black boys.
Chandler said on The Pivot Podcast on YouTube:
My wife has wanted to adopt an African-American boy since she was a teenager. My wife has had this on her heart since she was a teenager. Everyone knew he would, eventually, one day. And she always said that if “I marry a good man, I want to do that.”
It is worth noting that on June 30, Chandler is set to step into the octagon to face former double champion, Ireland's Conor McGregor, in the main event of UFC 303.
Chandler's last fight was against Dustin Poirier in November 2022 at UFC 281, where he suffered a submission defeat in the third round. He has 23 wins and eight losses on his record.
