Former UFC two-weight champion Henry Cejudo published a social media post saying that he will not be able to fight Marlon Vera due to a shoulder injury.
Henry Cejudo
Unfortunately, I will not be able to fight on August 19 at UFC 292. I had an MRI on my right shoulder and a tear has been identified, requiring six to eight weeks to recover.
Cejudo also said he wants to fight No. 1 ranked bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili or flyweight champion Brandon Moreno upon his return.
Cejudo, 36, last competed at UFC 288 in May 2023, losing to Aljamain Sterling by split decision. In May, 2020, at UFC 249, Henry fought Dominick Cruz. That fight ended with Cejudo's victory by TKO in the second round. He has 16 wins and three losses under his belt.
