Brazilian UFC welterweight Carlos Prates spoke out after his victory over Neil Magny in the main event of UFC Fight Night 247 in Las Vegas (USA).
Carlos Prates
To be honest, I think the perfect [next] fight would be in Australia – as you guys know, I have a daughter over there and I really would love to visit her and fight there in Australia, against Jack Della Maddalena. All respect to the guy, I don’t know if it’s too far away [in the rankings] but against Jack Della Maddalena would be amazing. I think it would be a really good fight against Geoff Neal.
For context, Prates knocked out Magny in the first round.
Prates previously entered the octagon against Li Jingliang in August this year at UFC 305. That match, which was stopped in the second round, ended with Carlos winning by knockout. He holds a record of 21 wins and six losses.
Maddalena last fought in the octagon against Brazilian fighter Gilbert Burns in March this year at UFC 299 in Miami (USA). This match, which ended in the third round, concluded with Jack winning by knockout. His record includes 17 wins and two losses.
