American top middleweight Jared Cannonier talked about the emotion he got from his loss to now former division champion Israel Adesanya.

Yes, there really was disappointment. I wish I could say it's getting easier, but it isn't. I went back to the locker room after the fight, shed a few tears, got some sympathy from my family and everything. But, on the way home, I was already over it. I was ready to move on and get better and learn and gain experience. It sucks, but I still have the sting on me. I don't dwell on the negatives, I focus on the positives.
In the main event of UFC 276, which took place this July in Las Vegas, Adesanya defeated American Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision of the judges, defending his UFC championship belt.
Adesanya faced Pereira in the Octagon Nov. 13 at UFC 281 in New York City. In this fight, Israel was defeated by TKO in the fifth round. Thus, he lost his UFC middleweight title. He has 23 wins and two losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
